Cohere collaborated with Pentagram to create an impressive visual identity for the world’s most ‘hyped’ technology, NLP. The project included designing an identity system, a new website, and an online playground environment, along with a set of powerful digital tools tailored for their growing design team. My role in the project was translating the brand identity into a scalable and user-friendly digital environment across Cohere's various web platforms, including their public-facing website, dashboard, developer tools, and playground. In addition, I spearheaded the development of the design system across all touchpoints, along with other deliverables such as a custom typeface variant for Cohere.

Cohere’s "New Nature” seamlessly blends the fluidity and imperfections found in nature with the rationality and efficiency of computing through various elements rooted in the Voronoi geometry. To bring this to life, we created a suite of digital tools that allow the brand system to evolve with the changing industry demands. These tools include a custom Figma plugin that generates custom Voronoi patterns, layout component libraries, a custom C4D tool that creates custom 3D Voronoi objects, and a custom Cohere typeface. The Playground encourages users to experiment with Cohere's various features within a controlled environment, allowing them to save and share code and access assistance when needed. The website also hosts an open-source library, such as blog posts, tutorials, guides, and guidelines for responsible usage, all accessible to anyone in the community.
I worked closely with our client to provide a seamless brand experience across all digital touchpoints, including a public-facing website, a personalised dashboard for signed-up users, a Playground area for exploring Cohere’s NLP models, and an open-source library for the AI community. We also delivered a scalable design system with an extensive design token library as part of a holistic ecosystem. During delivery, I’ve acted as a technical consultant by optimising our designs for development at excellence. As an example, I took the initiative to design a custom typeface variant with embedded colour to implement a piece of dynamic text with special typographic treatment.
